Your Bin Reminder is a free service operated by WIT Web Solutions, based in Wyndham, Victoria, Australia. This service is not affiliated with any Australian local council or government body. Contact us at witweb.com.au.

We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the reminder service:

• Email address — used exclusively to send your weekly your bin reminder.
• Suburb — optional, to help improve local data in future versions.
• Bin type preferences — which bins you put out (general, recycling, green waste).
• Collection day — the day of the week your council collects your bins.

We do not collect your name, home address, payment details, or any sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act.

Your information is used solely to:

• Send you a weekly email reminder at 8pm the evening before your bin collection day.
• Allow you to manage, edit, or delete your reminder at any time.
• Maintain accurate records of sent reminders for operational purposes.

We will never use your email address to send marketing or unrelated communications without your explicit consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Limited disclosure occurs only with these service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database storage (AWS, Australia/Singapore region).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Vercel — application hosting and deployment.

Your information is stored in Supabase's managed database with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL). Access is restricted to authorised service processes only. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active reminder. When you delete a reminder, associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Reminder send logs are retained for up to 90 days for operational purposes, then automatically deleted.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Delete your information at any time via the dashboard or by contacting us.
• Unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any reminder email.
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Your Bin Reminder does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools that collect personal information. We do not run advertising. Your usage of this app is not tracked or profiled in any way.

This service is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this service, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
